Drive-In/Drive-Thru
Drive-In/Drive-Thru rack systems offer the ability to store a large amount of similar loads in a smaller area.
Drive-In/Drive-Thru rack systems are the most complicated storage systems to design, engineer and manufacture. However, they are free-standing, self-supporting structures that comply with the most stringent and demanding safety standards that use structural steel. Drive-In/Drive-Thru are made to last longer because there are designed to resist abuse. Drive-Thru Racks allows a lift truck to enter the rack from either side to pick up or pull out pallets while Drive-In allows the lift truck to enter the rack from one side.
They can maintain 1” vertical adjustability resulting in various combinations to accommodate your facilities needs. Loads are supported by rails attached to upright frames and lift trucks are driven between uprights to reach pallets. The pallets slide backwards on a continuous rail which can either be Last-In, First-Out system or First-In, First-Out system.
Drive-In Benefits:
- Higher Density—provides greater capacity
- Minimized pallet cost per square foot
- Eliminates need for expensive warehouse expansion
- Major cost savings utilizing lift equipment
- Maximum productivity with Last-In, First-Out system
- Drive-Thru Benefits:
- Higher Density—provides greater capacity
- Minimized pallet cost per square foot
- Eliminates need for expensive warehouse expansion
- Major cost savings utilizing lift equipment
- Vehicles can access the rack from either side
- Pallets can be stored from one side and retrieved by the other for First-In, First-Out system
